HOW IT WORKS

Obsidian is a great tool for protecting against negativity, evil, dark forces, ill-willed people, and overall bad vibes. It absorbs and neutralizes negative energy to promote harmony and agreement with others.

HOW IT IS FORMED

Obsidian is found in volcanic regions worldwide. It is natural glass, formed from volcanic lava. Unlike the lava that cools slowly underground, the lava that forms obsidian cools quickly above ground, too quickly to form crystals.

HISTORY & LEGENDS

Commonly referred to "Apache Tears", the legends of obsidian tell of a group of Apache warriors who, in battle, fell to their deaths from a cliff in the 19th century. It is said that the tears of the wives and women left behind fell to the ground and turned to stone. It is believed that whoever carries obsidian will never cry again, as too many tears have been shed already.
